"Caravan" is the first single from Rush's upcoming 2011 album Clockwork Angels with music and lyrics credited to Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. It was released to radio stations and saw digital release on June 1, 2010. The B-side is an additional studio track titled "BU2B". Both songs were recorded April 13, 2010 at Blackbird Studios in Nashville with producer Nick Raskulinecz with mixing and engineering done by Richard Chycki at the Sound Kitchen in Franklin, Tennessee. The songs were mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York. According to drummer Neil Peart's latest personal essay, these two new songs are the initial parts of what he refers to as an "extended album-length story"

Distant Relatives is a collaborative studio album by American rapper Nas and Jamaican reggae artist Damian Marley, released May 18, 2010, on Universal Republic and Def Jam Recordings. Production for the album took place during 2008 to 2010 and was handled primarily by Damian Marley and Stephen Marley. Fusing musical elements of hip hop and reggae, Distant Relatives features lyrical themes concerning ancestry, poverty, and the plight of Africa.

The album debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 57,000 copies in its first week. Upon its release, Distant Relatives received generally positive reviews from most music critics.

Booka Shade son Walter Merziger y Arno Kammermeier, dos de los productores más prolíficos del sello alemán de house electrónico, Get Physical, uno de los labels que más vende dentro del underground más pulcro con ese house electrónico que respeta la comercialidad sin pervertir demasiado la honestidad creativa. Durante las primeras referencias del label se han encargado de las remezclas de gente tan importante dentro de la casa como M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T, Sunsetpeople y Chelonis R. Jones. Después de editar dos álbumes de synth pop a principios de los noventa y de llevar por delante una gran ristra de live acts por toda Alemania y el resto de Europa en 2004 acaban de ver reconocida su labor con un primer álbum en Get Physical con un título de difícil olvido, Memento. En este álbum explotan su amplio background para darle forma con un sonido contemporáneo que está gustando mucho en el continente y que cuenta con alguna remezcla destacada como la de Marco Passarani para el tema Panoramic. Su álbum marca las coordenadas del grupo, una mezcla de synth-pop que suena a antiguo, mezclado con electro-house contemporáneo que los hace sonar rabiosamente actuales, todo eso sin descartar su background con claras referencias al trance tal y como se puede comprobar tras la escucha de temas como su hit Body Language que recuperarán en una nueva versión para su álbum de 2006, Movements. Gracias a tracks como este han conseguido llamar la atención de reputados productores como Moby, Thaiti 80, o The Juan Maclean, que los han invitado para reconstruir algunos de sus trabajos.

George Harrison, MBE (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) born in Liverpool, England, was an English rock musician, singer-songwriter and film producer who achieved international fame as lead guitarist in The Beatles, along with mainstream success as a solo artist. Sidelined by the overwhelming songwriting talents of his Beatles band mates, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Harrison, with his distinctive, eastern-oriented style of music, never felt he was able to fully express himself as a member of the band. As tensions within the band heightened towards the end of the 1960s, Harrison began to work on his debut solo album, All Things Must Pass. The album, released in 1970, contains the two-time number one hit, My Sweet Lord.

Harrison is also credited for creating music benefits, notably the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh. Harrison played beside Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, and Leon Russell to a crowd of 40,000 in Madison Square Garden, New York. The show raised over $240,000 benefiting the George Harrison Fund for Bangladesh relief.

George Harrison - Electronic Sound

Electronic Sound is George Harrison's second solo album, and the second and final record released on the Beatles' short-lived Zapple Records (an offshoot of Apple Records), before it was folded at the insistence of The Beatles' then-manager Allen Klein. Released in May 1969, it features two lengthy pieces, one per side on the original vinyl release, performed on the Moog synthesizer.

The cover of Electronic Sound was painted by Harrison himself. The inside sleeve included minimal notes on the album, and a quote, attributed to "Arthur Wax": "There are a lot of people around, making a lot of noise; here's some more." Due to its experimental and highly uncommercial nature, Electronic Sound failed to chart in the UK, and barely made the US Billboard album chart, peaking at #191.

All Things Must Pass is a triple album by George Harrison recorded and released after the break-up of The Beatles. The first triple album by a solo artist, the original vinyl release featured two records of rock songs, while the third, entitled "Apple Jam" was composed of informal jams led by Harrison with musician friends and other famous musicians. Received as a masterpiece upon its 1970 unveiling, it was eventually certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA.

In 2000, George Harrison personally oversaw the remastering of All Things Must Pass - the beginning of a re-issue project that was to see all his albums refurbished. Craze

One of the most versatile Dj i've ever heard.

DJ Craze (Arith Delgado) was born in Mangua, Nicaragua. At the age of 3, in 1980,he fled the country with his family during the war which lasted throughout the 1980s. Craze and his family moved to San Francisco, California, where they lived for a short while, before moving to Miami, Florida, where he currently resides.

Craze is a DJ who plays hip hop, breaks, drum n bass, and practices turntablism. He is the only solo DJ in history to claim the World DMC Champion trophy 3 times consecutively. Originally from Nicaragua, he now resides in Miami, Florida.

The style of his music carries many of his past musical influences. Initially influenced by the Miami Bass movement when he was younger, Craze has gone on to incorporate elements of hip-hop, drum n bass, and breaks in his turntable routines. Recently, Craze has shifted his emphasis to DJ’ing and producing drum n bass with his own record label “Cartel”.

Craze has released two of the most popular battle records ever, “Bully Breaks” and “Bully Breaks 2”.

In December 2006, an old torn down Jazz club in East Berlin was transformed into a two week mini festival of Jazz and electronic experimentation. Jazz musicians, producers and Dj’s from all over Europe came to take part in the project which would later evolve to form JazZstepPa.

The hosts of the event: Gal Bar-Adon & Gal Moore, both jazz musicians, found a growing fascination in the world of sound experimentation and electronic music. Together with German sound fanatic “Katalyze!”, JazZstepPa created their early sound, merging elements of Dubstep, D&B, Hard-Bop and Dancehall.
Throughout 2007, JazZstepPa toured the UK, Germany and Israel, gaining a lot of interest from big name Dj’s such as DJ Maxximus, Scuba & Joe Nice (New-York) as well as airplay on many pirate radio stations in London and Online (React FM, Reload-Radio, Sub FM).

The collective philosophy of JazZstepPa lead the crew to collaborate and experiment with brass players, beat makers and producers from all over Europe (Rusko, Mack Jiggah and Untold just to name a few).

The crew’s first release in 2008, “Jakin / two”, was released on Hotflush Records, (home to: Benga, Elemental, Scuba & Luke Envoy). Another JazZstepPa track, “one” was the opening track of the “Space & Time” compilation (along with; Vex’d, Boxcutter and Toasty)

JazZstepPa’s second release “five / AmeriCa B”, released on Mental Groove Subsidiary- MG77, accompanies JazZstepPa’s into a busy summer of touring and recordings.

Rx Bandits is a four-piece band based in Seal Beach, California. The band formed in 1995 in Orange County, California. They have appeared on the Vans Warped Tour, at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and at The Bamboozle.

...And the Battle Begun is the fifth album by the Rx Bandits and is also the band's first album released by Matt Embree's label Mash Down Babylon. John Coltrane was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Starting in bebop and hard bop, Coltrane later helped pioneer free jazz. He influenced generations of other musicians, and remains one of the most significant tenor saxophonists in jazz history. He was astonishingly prolific: he made about fifty recordings as a leader in his twelve-year-long recording career, and appeared as a sideman on many other albums, notably with trumpeter Miles Davis and pianist Thelonious Monk. As his career progressed, Coltrane's music took on an increasingly spiritual dimension. His second wife was pianist Alice Coltrane, and their son Ravi Coltrane is also a saxophonist. He received many awards, among them a posthumous Special Citation from the Pulitzer Prize Board in 2007 for his "masterful improvisation, supreme musicianship and iconic centrality to the history of jazz."

Shy FX - Diary of a Digital Soundboy

Shy FX is the pseudonym of Andre Williams, an English drum and bass musician from London.Throughout his career he has worked closely with T Power, both as Ebony Dubsters and Shy-FX and T Power; their 2002 track "Shake Ur Body" with vocalist Di was a crossover success. In 2005 he founded Digital Soundboy Recordings.

Shy-Fx and T Power also released the song 'Dont Wanna Know', which also featured Flimzee. The song is used on the television show Soccer AM, as part of the 'Skills Skool' feature.

More recently he produced the track "Da Feelin" for Dizzee Rascal's 2007 album, Maths + English.

Marco Antonio Silva a.k.a. DJ Marky is a Brazilian drum and bass DJ. Together with DJ Patife, XRS Land and Drumagick Brazilians are forging a new sound in drum and bass that has become popular around the world with releases such as LK and Só Tinha Que Ser Com Você. Regarded as a drum’n’bass innovator under the name Marky Mark and then just DJ Marky, he was brought to the attention of the global Drum and Bass scene by English DJ Bryan Gee, head of V Recordings, who saw Marky playing in a club in São Paulo in 1998. Amazed by Marky’s scratch skills, he invited the DJ to play in London. This experience would result in a residency at the club Movement, a subsequent residency at The End club, work for the UK's BBC Radio 1, and global popularity.

Israel Vibrations - Stamina

Israel Vibration is a reggae harmony trio, originating from Kingston, Jamaica. Lascelle "Wiss" Bulgin, Albert "Apple Gabriel" Craig, and Cecil "Skeleton" Spence all overcame childhood polio and went on to be one of the most successful roots groups to form in Jamaica in the late 1970s. After going their separate ways, and each converting to the Rastafari movement, they reunited in Kingston and formed a vocal group. Funding for their first album came in the form of a grant from the Twelve Tribes of Israel branch of Rastafari after Hugh Booth, a member of the Twelve Tribes, had overheard the three men singing in a wooded area outside Kingston. Apple and Wiss were living in the area, which they had converted into a home.

At The Drive-In

At the Drive-In was a American rock band from El Paso, Texas, that was active from 1993 to 2001. They were known for their extremely energetic stage shows which hearkened back to the 1980s post-hardcore scene. Their blend of surrealistic lyrics, unorthodox guitar melodies and unpredictable shifts in tempo and rhythm made them one of the more influential bands of the modern day post-hardcore scene

Possible Reunion

During interview with Drowned in Sound in June 2009, Bixler-Zavala stated that he has been in discussions with the band's former members and suggested that they could get back together after they sort their financial business out. He added, "I wouldn't mind it. It might happen, we just have to iron out a lot of personal things. A lot of it we've dealt with already and I've apologised for a lot of things I've said and the way it ended... we'll see what happens."

In a report by Buzzgrinder, Jim Ward was asked about the comments of Cedric Bixler-Zavala, he stated that "I don’t think that I’ll be answering any questions or doing any interviews anymore, thank you very much. I haven’t got much to say about anything except with songs which I will continue to make and release — cheers… -jimward", making the reunion of at the drive in uncertain at present.

"Voodoo People / Out of Space" is the seventeenth single released by the British dance act The Prodigy on 3 October 2005, and was the only single released from their compilation album Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005. The Soothsayer

Based on the events that took place during the creation of The Bedlam in Goliath, the online game Goliath: The Soothsayer was released via Amazon through January 2–29, and later made publicly available at Newgrounds on January 29, 2008. Developed by Leffler Web Design, the game is described as a horror/supernatural "point 'n' click" In some U.S. record stores, a free 5" VinylDisc of The Mars Volta's cover of Pink Floyd's "Candy and a Currant Bun" was given away with purchase of the album. The VinylDisc is a new format that has a digital side and a vinyl side. One side plays in a CD player, while the other side plays on a turntable. The vinyl side contains the Pink Floyd cover "Candy and a Currant Bun", while the CD side contains the audio track for "Candy and a Currant Bun" as well as the "Wax Simulacra" video as enhanced content. It also comes with a removable foam spindle insert to switch between CD & vinyl.

Porcupine Tree - On the Sunday of Life

On the Sunday of Life... is the debut album of English progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in July, 1991. It compiles tracks that Steven Wilson produced and recorded for two cassette-only releases, Tarquin's Seaweed Farm (1989) and The Nostalgia Factory (1990). The rest of the music from these tapes was released three years after in the compilation album Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape. The album contained tracks that would grow to become some of the group's classic songs (particularly "Radioactive Toy" and "Nine Cats"). Most of the lyrics were written by Alan Duffy, a school friend with whom Steven Wilson had lost touch a few years before the album was released. A small run of 1000 copies in a deluxe gatefold sleeve were released in early 1992

The Sky Moves Sideways is the third studio album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in February, 1995. It has been compared by many fans to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here because of their similar structure; both albums have extended pieces at the beginning and end, which are the both halves of a single song. The Sky Moves Sideways was the first Porcupine Tree album to be released in the US, and the first on which Porcupine Tree was actually a band rather than simply a pseudonym for Steven Wilson. This transition took place while the album was being recorded, so two of the tracks - namely "The Moon Touches Your Shoulder" and "Dislocated Day" - are performed entirely by Wilson, while the full band appears on the remainder of the album (including "Stars Die", a UK single which was added to the US version of the album).

Blackfield is a collaboratory musical group between Porcupine Tree founder and lead singer Steven Wilson and Israeli rock singer Aviv Geffen. Blackfield is the debut album by the art rock band Blackfield, released on the Snapper Music/Helicon labels in February, 2004 (see 2004 in music). The album was later re-released in August of the same year with an additional three-track bonus disc. Two songs are covers in English to earlier Aviv Geffen songs in Hebrew, "Cloudy Now" (עכשיו מעונן) from 1993 and "Scars" (צלקות) from 2000.

Blackfield II is the second studio album by Blackfield. It was recorded in both Tel Aviv and London, and was released on February 13, 2007 in Europe and March 6, 2007 in the US. We Put Out Records launched a media site relating to the US release of this record. "End of the World" is a cover of an older song in Hebrew, performed by Geffen and Berry Sakharof. Hebrew versions of "1,000 People" and "Epidemic" were included in Geffen's album from 2006, "With the Time". A demo version of "Where Is My Love?" was released on the bonus disc of the limited edition of Blackfield's first album. "Christenings" was originally written for Porcupine Tree's 2005 album Deadwing but was never released. Richard Barbieri and Gavin Harrison are both featured on this track.

Biografía Homenaje A Una Bella Canción se formó en el verano de 2005 con Christian Navarro (bateria), Gerardo Medina (guitarra), Rubén Luciano (Voces), Abraham Fernández(guitarra) y Carlos Fernández (bajo). Desde su formación el grupo participó de la escena local de rock en Puerto Rico. Con su sonido original y particular la banda ha adquirido un sinnúmero de fanaticos, pero mas importante aún, de amigos. En el 2006 grabaron su primer EP de 4 canciones, con Non-Studios. A finales del 2006 grabaron su primer video musical del sencillo “Fatal”, dirigido y editado por Andrés Ramírez (Non-Studios) y producido por Nelson Figueroa y la banda. En el 2007 lanzaron su primer disco “Do it” el cual tuvo su release en Hard Rock Café San Juan. Con este evento la banda tuvo su explosión y su auge creció. Mas tarde, participó del Sr. Frog’s Rock Weekend donde ganó primer lugar en la competencia. Semanas después participo de otra competencia en el Ocho de Blanco donde quedaron segundo lugar. En ese mismo año el guitarrista Geraldo Medina se fue de la banda para realizar sus estudios en Florida. En su lugar entró amigo y seguidor de la banda Many Lugo, quien no tardo en acoplarse a la misma. Su primera presentación luego del cambio fue en Hard Rock café en un evento Pro-Fondos a caridad, el cual fue un éxito total. A finales del 2007 la banda decidió tomar un receso. En el verano del 2008 comenzaron a hacer material nuevo. Partiendo de un nuevo estilo la banda creo un sonido diferente, más fuerte y progresivo que lo anterior. Ahora la banda se encuentra en el proceso de grabación se su próxima producción, la cual ya ha tenido grandes expectativas y se espera este terminada a finales de este año.

DAVIS, Calif. - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says it's time for a debate on whether to legalize and tax marijuana — though he says he's not supporting the idea.

The Republican governor, whose term in office expires at the end of next year, was asked about the idea of treating pot like alcohol at an appearance in northern California on Tuesday.

"No, I don't think it's time for that, but I think it's time for a debate," he said. "And I think we ought to study very carefully what other countries are doing that have legalized marijuana and other drugs, what effect it had on those countries, and are they happy with that decision."

The former Hollywood actor, who has admitted smoking marijuana in the past, cited his native Austria as a country where "they want to roll back some of the decisions that were made in European countries."

He said a decision to legalize marijuana, which has been outlawed in the United States since 1937, should not be made on the basis of raising revenues alone.

Poll finds support for legalizing
Schwarzenegger's comments come days after a statewide Field Poll found that 56 percent of California voters support the idea of legalizing cannabis for recreational use and taxing its proceeds.

A bill introduced in the state Legislature by Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, a Democrat from San Francisco, would do just that — permitting taxed sales of marijuana to adults while barring sales to or possession by anyone under age 21. He would tax it at $50 an ounce.

A similar regulatory structure already exists for alcoholic beverages.

Ammiano said his proposal would generate up to $1.3 billion in revenue for the state, which faces another multibillion-dollar budget shortfall just weeks after a landmark deal closing a $42 billion deficit.

He and others who support legalizing pot say such a move also would improve public safety by redirecting law enforcement efforts to more serious crimes and would end environmental damage to public lands used for illicit cannabis cultivation.

But in 2004, Schwarzenegger vetoed a bill that would have eased rules on how much medical marijuana patients can possess in California.

Voters in California, the nation's most populous state, became the first to approve the use of marijuana for medical purposes in 1996, putting the state at odds with federal law. A dozen other states now have similar laws.

Shift in Obama administration
Under the Bush administration, federal agents stepped up raids against medical marijuana dispensaries in California and other states that have passed similar laws.

In this desperate economy, some argue that legalizing and taxing marijuana could plug multibillion-dollar holes in federal and state coffers.

Daniel Stein says the salvation of U.S. taxpayers could be marijuana.

As Washington breaks the bank on Wall Street bailouts, President Barack Obama's stimulus package and other spend-now, pay-later measures, most observers agree that politicians will eventually need to increase revenue or cut spending to cover the federal government's debts.

Stein believes Washington could begin to balance its books now if politicians would take a serious look at his industry. The owner of two retail outlets that he claims generate $1 million in revenue annually, Stein says he pays around $80,000 a year in sales taxes to the state of California. But the federal government, which does not acknowledge Stein's sales as legitimate commerce, gets nothing from his business.

In fact, because federal authorities have spent time trying to close his and other medical-marijuana clubs, Washington is losing money on him.

"Cannabis is good for the economy," he said. "It's been here the whole time, but it's had a bad rap the entire time."

As more people begin to see the merits in Stein's logic, that bad rap is changing. While legalization, decriminalization and the medical use of marijuana continue to be debated in terms of public health, lawmakers and policy analysts are increasingly touting the economic benefits of regulating and taxing weed, which the Office of National Drug Control Policy says is the most popular illegal drug in the U.S.

Critics of legalizing marijuana say the potential economic benefits of regulating and taxing the drug would obscure the less-tangible, long-term downsides of making it more prevalent in society.

"The argument wholly ignores the issue of the connection between marijuana and criminal activity and also the larger picture of substance abuse," said David Capeless, the district attorney of Berkshire County in Massachusetts and the president of the state's district attorneys association. "It simply sends a bad message to kids about substance abuse in general, which is a wrong message, that it's not a big deal."

A 2004 report by the drug policy office said drugs cost Americans more than $180 billion related to health care, lost productivity and crime in 2002. That study lumped the effects of marijuana in with more-dangerous drugs, such as cocaine and heroin.

But marijuana advocates say history is on their side. They muster arguments similar to those that led to repealing Prohibition during the Great Depression.

"In the early 1930s, one of the reasons that alcohol was brought back was because government revenue was plummeting," Harvard economist Jeff Miron said. "There are some parallels to that now."

Porcupine Tree - Up the Downstair

Up the Downstair is the second studio album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in May 1993. It was originally intended to be a double album set including the song "Voyage 34", which was instead released as a single in 1992, and other material that ended up on the Staircase Infinities EP (1994). In 2005, it was partially re-recorded, fully re-mixed, remastered and re-released along with the Staircase Infinities EP as a double album. The re-release contains a new mix by Steven Wilson, along with recorded drums by Gavin Harrison that replace the electronic drums of the original version. Steven Wilson has stated that the title of the album came from a line in the song "Voyage 34." Another re-release on vinyl was pressed on August 14th, 2008 on Kscope records. This is identical to the 2005 release, except it is printed on coloured vinyl.

Voyage 34: The Complete Trip is a compilation album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. It was originally released as a limited set of two 12" singles, Voyage 34 (Phase I. and II.) in 1992, and Voyage 34: Remixes (Phase III. and IV.), in 1993. The remastered edition entitled Voyage 34: The Complete Trip featuring all the four tracks was issued in 2000. A third remaster was published by Snapper Music in 2004, with expanded artwork including a new cover image. (This Digipak version also includes a hidden track at position 18:50 within track 4, after Phase IV ends at 13:42).^{[citation needed]} It should be noted, that the track "Voyage 34" was originally recorded for the album Up the Downstair, but was dropped during the final production.

Despite being mostly instrumental, Voyage 34 can be considered a concept album, where the LSD trip of a young man called Brian is told with spoken words. Musically it is a unique fusion of progressive rock, psychedelic rock and trance music.

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing

Deadwing is the eighth studio album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released in March 28, 2005. Damien Rice (born December 7, 1973) is an Irish singer-songwriter. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, to George and Maureen Rice and was raised in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. The actual story shows a much different picture. Those who voted on the legal fate of this plant never had the facts, but were dependent on information supplied by those who had a specific agenda to deceive lawmakers.
